What Happens When a Client Reaches Out

Client clicks your referral link

Your name is captured from the URL and saved in their browser. It persists even if they close the tab and come back later.

A banner appears with your name

Visitors see a friendly message at the top of the page: "This guide was shared with you by [Your Name]." This builds trust and reinforces your relationship.

Client clicks 'Contact an Expert'

Their email client opens with the subject line pre-filled as: "First-Time Home Buyer Inquiry (Referred by [Your Name])" โ€” and your name is included in the email body.

Jeff receives the email and sees your name

Jeff knows exactly who referred the client and will reach out to you to coordinate. You stay in the loop from day one.

Common Questions

Do I need to create an account or log in?

No. Your referral link is simply your name added to the end of the guide's URL. There's nothing to set up โ€” just generate your link on this page and start sharing.

What if a client visits the site without my link?

If they arrive directly (e.g., by typing the URL), no referral code will be attached and the contact email will not include a referral. This is why it's important to always share your unique link rather than the plain URL.

Can two Realtors refer the same client?

The most recent referral link a client clicks will take priority. If a client clicks your link first and then another Realtor's link later, the second Realtor's name will be recorded.

What if my client contacts Jeff by phone instead of email?

The referral tracking only applies to the email contact button on the guide. If your client calls Jeff directly, make sure to let Jeff know you referred them.

Can I use this guide with my own branding?

The current version features Jeff's contact information. If you'd like a co-branded version, reach out to Jeff directly to discuss options.
